Pinot Noir 2021 "Forest Wanderer" (Wine Club Only)

This is a vibrant and transparent pinot with aromas of red cherries, sliced strawberries, wild mushrooms, pink peppercorns and nutmeg. Hint of pink grapefruit, too. Medium-bodied with precise tannins. Crunchy finish

Medium-light ruby with tints of brick as well as purple, the bouquet smoky, meaty charcuterie, showing less of the primary berry-like fruit aromas. It's light-medium weighted and savoury again on the tongue, with gently drying earthy tannins and more mellow spectrum flavours. It's a touch more forward than most '21s. Drinking well, and has the structure to stand up to heartier foods. Very good drinking right now. Huon Hooke
